Pinkalicious: Baby Girl Shower | Table7 Events

Location:  PRIVATE RESIDENCE, FULLERTON, CA
Photography:  TABLE7 EVENTS, INC.
Floral Design:  KING'S FLOWERS
Catering:  ALICIA'S
Rentals:  CREATE A PARTY
Cake:  BEVERLY'S BAKERY
Cotton Candy:  DOLLY'S SWEET DREAMS

Being the mother of two boys, when asked to create a shower for a baby girl, I jumped into PINK mode.  There is not a whole lot of that color palette happening inside our home, so I started with this precious strawberry paisley elephant:

And ended up with this backdrop from the most pale of pinks to fuchsia...

Incorporating personal items is also a great way to make the event more sentimental and memorable for the honoree.  Here I used the soon to be grandmother's childhood teddy bear, grandpa's rattle and borrowed some blocks from a super sweet for sharing, cousin.

If the guest of honor is not the fan of shower games, think about replacing them with something more in-tune with her or him.  For this event, the games were eliminated and replaced by a DIY Onesie craft that allowed the guests to eat, mingle and craft at their own pace.  How to below...

DIY Onesie...

1 Onesie per guest (Either ask each guest to bring one or buy them in sizes ranging from Newborn-24 months)
Fabric Scraps
Fabric Glue
Scissors
Cardboard
Clothespins

Optional Items:
Embroidery Thread
Needles
Buttons
Ribbon
Patches
Fabric Paint
The possibilities are limitless

Instructions:  Choose a Onesie, think of an idea, pick your fabric(s), cut out the shape(s), place cardboard inside the Onesie, glue fabric to Onesie, stitching / painting is optional, and hang to dry.
