1st Anniversary Gift Ideas | Table7 Events

Your first anniversary is definitely a special one, and we've got some great ideas for you to WOW your new hubby or wife and show how much they mean to you. This year's traditional symbol is paper, which means it's time to get crafty and creative! Melt your loved one's heart with a homemade "100 Reasons I Love You" book. Head to your local craft store and stock up on decorative paper, 3D stickers and cut-outs, and get to work! We love this idea to use a deck of cards for a fun-sized, sentimental gift.

Another fun idea using paper is to plan 12 pre-paid dates (gift certificates for a new restaurant, a night in a hotel, or an activity such as snorkeling or wine tasting) and create an envelope labeled for each month to place the gift certificates in. An envelope will be opened at the beginning of each month for a fun surprise and a gift that keeps on giving for the whole year!

We also love these adorable, customized books with the pages cut out to spell your initials. Spice up your bookshelf and get yours here.

Crafting isn't your specialty? Not a problem. There are many other ways to incorporate paper into your anniversary gift. Surprise your significant other with front row tickets to their favorite sports team's big game or their favorite band's concert, or splurge on plane tickets for that dream vacation you've been planning all year.

Here is a list of all of the symbols for Year 1

Traditional: Paper
Modern: Clock
Flower: Pansy
Gemstone: Gold
Color: Papyrus Yellow

Cheers to a wonderful first year of marriage, and we hope the next are even more amazing!
