Never say Never when it comes to a tight budget and high expectations!  This was one lesson I learned this year when I took on a bride that wanted the beach on a budget.  My initial reaction was to steer her inland, but realized that was not my purpose.  My purpose is to make dreams a reality.

You may remember {Bri + Jack} from their engagement session.  Bri, her mother and myself started our mission to find a perfect fit with ocean views and a sandy shore. They spent many weekends up and down the coast going between LA and Orange County until a simultaneous discover occurred.  Bri's mother and I stumbled upon the OC Sailing Center in Dana Point.  The moment I saw it, I knew it was perfect for her.  It had the marina on one side and the beach on the other.  An added bonus, there was a park on the bluff above that was perfect for her ceremony.  Heritage Park:

Bri chose a neutral base for her color scheme and brought in the blue from the OC Sailing Center.  The palette was perfection!  Majority for the details were DIY, but in my opinion, the florals Lavender's created pulled everything together.

The Ceremony at Heritage Park:

One extremely important detail Bri wanted at her wedding was photos on the beach.  Unfortunately, the beach next to the venue had a jetty in the background and she was set on the horizon.  Due to the limited about of time between the ceremony and reception, there was no way to get Bri & Jack to another beach, take pictures and get back.  She was so distraught by this and chose to give into the fact that it was not going to happen.  Again, it was my job to make it happen.  Luckily, my mother had taken me to the tide pools behind the Ocean Institute as a child and I took her on a one minute drive and a short walk down a hidden pathway to discover a little treasure.  She thought it was perfect!  Never say Never!

The OC Sailing and Events Center is a great room, but needs a little TLC.  The stage was used to showcase the couple and cake, we repurposed the ceremony decor, and set up a pipe and drape to hide unwanted signage.

Something a bit different Bri & Jack chose to do was the last dance alone.  All the guests were asked to leave for a send-off, the lights were dimmed, and the couple had one last dance before they headed out the doors to start their lives husband and wife.

I guarantee, these two will live Happily Ever After!

Fall Harvest Table Decor: Black Gold, Yorba Linda | Table7 Events

Event Location:  BLACK GOLD GOLF COURSE
Photography:  JACOB AUSTELL PHOTO

Autumn is a favorite for many, but my love for this season takes it to another level.  There are so many things to love at this time of year: the change in weather, the scent of spice in the air, the crunch of fallen leaves, but the color palette is what I cannot get enough of.  Crimson, sienna, mustard, and everything in-between, you will find the range of colors in my closet, my kid's closets, my home decor, and now Table7's branding probably makes a lot more sense.

The OC Bride's event (a local wedding vendor networking group I participate with) was hosted at Black Gold Golf Course this month.  Their theme this month was "Fall Harvest!"  My mind immediately went to pumpkins.  My mind always goes to pumpkins!  October is the time for pumpkins, September is a time for apples.

Since my home is full of autumn pieces, it was just a matter of pulling something together and buying a bushel or four of apples.  Here are the results, but I have to thank Create A Party Rentals for the linen and Jacob Austell for the photos.

Retro 70's Sweetheart Table: Astor Classics Event Center | Table7 Events

Photography:  TABLE7 EVENTS, INC.
Linens and Chair Rentals:  GLOW CONCEPTS FINE LINENS
Event Styling:  TABLE7 EVENTS, INC.

As a member of OC Brides, each vendor is featured at our monthly networking.  Table7 had the opportunity to take the spotlight in April and I was so appreciative at the opportunity until I found out the theme was 70's.  What initially went through my mind was tie dye, lava lamps and disco balls.  Sooooo not my style!  When my mind starts going down a narrow path that is not the place I want to be, I turn to Pinterest, of course, and found an outrageous gold dress that set my mind going.

I decided to go retro 70's!  When I requested my linens of brown and gold, I don't think the ladies at Glow were too sure of where I was going with it, but they also told me that they knew with my creativity, I would pull something off.

First I started by making everything gold.  There can never be too much gold!  A can of spray paint can be an event stylists best friend.

Yes, even the flowers were gold!

As my gift to my couple's that allow me to be part of their day, I include a customized sweetheart table, so I like to feature those at my expos.  Here's Table7's idea of 70's!

First I found the lamp, which inspired the rest of the table.  I love the modern yet retro look of the gold hearts and the gold "perfect pears" I found.

P.S. Astor Classics Event Center is an amazing site for events.  Michael Keener, who is the director of special events said that the space attracts a lot of retro and rockabilly events.
